Steffanie Skiles, born in Huntington, West Virginia is an accomplished freelance trumpet player, award-winning educator and sound engineer/designer. She holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Morehead State University (2017).

While in college, Steffanie was introduced to audio engineering and design, in both theatrical and live music settings. Instantly attracted to the subject, she pursued the content relentlessly, working as a sound engineer and designer for the music and theatre departments. She has since been actively involved in the field.

Steffanie's current adventure is in the public school system, now in her eighth year of teaching. Here, Steffanie shares her passion and journey with music, hoping to inspire the next generation of arts advocates and musicians. Although a young educator, Steffanie has earned many successes in teaching- to which she credits her excellent and dedicated students, community, colleagues, and mentors.

Despite her busy full-time schedule, Steffanie still finds time to work in both music and theatre, be it playing trumpet or running sound.
